We Care Ministry
Purpose & Vision
-
A ministry focused on practical Christian love: caring for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the needy, vulnerable, and marginalized in society and within the church.
-
To manifest Christ’s love through giving, compassion, support, and outreach — embodying the principle: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Core Objectives
-
Reach out to the less privileged: the poor, homeless, or those in need of basic support (food, clothing, shelter where possible).
-
Evangelize and bring hope: share the gospel, provide spiritual counsel, pray with and care for the oppressed or neglected (in prisons, orphanages, old people’s homes, rehabilitation centres, etc.).
-
Provide emotional/spiritual support — encourage, uplift, motivate those who are discouraged, depressed or feeling hopeless.
-
Collaborate with charitable organizations, as necessary, for broader community impact (food banks, homeless shelters, community support groups).
Implementation & Activities
-
Regular outreach programmes (monthly or quarterly) — feeding the hungry, distributing clothes, visiting shelters/orphanages/old people’s homes/prisons, offering prayer and counselling.
-
“We Care Days” — special events where church members volunteer, donate, and serve.
-
Welfare & support for church members in need (sickness, unemployment, hardship).
-
Prayer support and spiritual counselling for beneficiaries — not just material aid but holistic spiritual care.
-
Mobilization and awareness: sensitise church members about social responsibility, encourage giving (time, resources, prayer).
