Purpose & Vision

To serve as the internal care-and-support arm of MFM Luton & Dunstable: attending to the practical needs of church members — financial support, hardship assistance, counselling, benevolence, visitation, encouragement.

To complement outreach (We Care) but focused especially on members and regular attenders — building a caring church community where no one is forgotten, oppressed or neglected internally.
Key Responsibilities & Activities

Maintain a welfare fund or benevolence programme, subject to church leadership oversight — for helping members facing hardship, unemployment, illness, bereavement, financial difficulties.

Visit and provide support to members who are sick, elderly, isolated, recently bereaved, or in crisis.

Provide pastoral counselling or referral to counselling/deliverance prayer where spiritual/emotional support is needed.

Support integration of new members — helping them settle, connecting them to small groups, ministries, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported.

Periodically assess welfare needs of the congregation and communicate with church leadership for sustainable support planning.
